CREATING AND DELIVERING LARGE-SCALE, DATA-DRIVEN PRESENTATIONS
I created the Green and Gold Night presentation as an opening to the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School's first annual open house designed to showcase the school's climate, culture, and opportunities. Green and Gold Night was advertised as an opportunity to discover the advantages of the only comprehensive high school in the region.
COMMUNICATING WITH TECHNOLOGY: WEBSITE CREATION AND MAINTENANCE
I frequently use technology to communicate with students, families, faculty, and community. Below are examples of my published websites.
Policy Adoption: 1:1 Device Initiative in 5-12 and
Acceptable Use Policy in the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District
I collaborated with the assistant superintendent and head of technology to develop a 1:1 Chromebook plan for students in 5-12 and to rewrite the Acceptable Use Policy to reflect and support a 1:1 district. I then successfully presented the proposal to the School Committee in August, and led the distribution of 700 devices to students at the high school.
Policy Change: Using data to change policy regarding "cameras on" during virtual instruction
I conducted a year-over-year analysis of student achievement and attendance, which led to a change in the district's camera policy during virtual learning. Below, the artifacts I created illustrate how my data analysis led to the successful adoption of new policy, how the policy was explained to students and families, and then to the community at large.

Policy Changes: Attendance
My data analysis led me to realize that the school's attendance policy was leading to an over-reporting of student absences to DESE. DR's 2018 School Profile shows: 42.1% of our students were marked absent more than 10 days; 17% were identified as chronically absent; and 25.8% were identified as absent more than 9 days unexcused. This presentation explains the need for the policy change, which was approved by the School Committee.
Advisory: Year One
Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School had been talking about incorporating an advisory block into the schedule for several years. One of my contributions was to bring this idea to life in the 2019-2020 school year.
I created this presentation to guide a professional development session I led for colleagues and again presented to the School Committee in the fall of 2019.

Celebration of Excellence
One of my responsibilities as the senior class administrator is to coordinate the annual Celebration of Excellence. With school closed, we worked together to bring the celebration virtual. This undertaking required me to bring together 28 individual scripts, and coordinate the contributions of all participating faculty and students.
During my tenure in Providence Schools, I led the redesign from a portfolio system to the PBGR at two high schools, Central, and Hope.

Academic Vocabulary across the Curriculum
Using Robert Marzano's design, I led an academic vocabulary program in Providence Schools. I believe all high schools could benefit from adopting Marzano's systematic approach, or one similar, to provide direct and systematic teaching of academic vocabulary to all students.
